Ales for Tails is a community-driven, family-friendly craft beer, gin, and music festival dedicated to raising funds for animal shelters across KwaZulu-Natal.
Since our first event in 2016, we’ve proudly raised R1,206,451.56 for this important cause.

At the end of the day, we’re here to raise funds and bring hope to the precious animals in our province who deserve a better chance. By coming together as a community, we can make a real difference. Calling all local businesses! Join us in creating an unforgettable event while supporting animal welfare. Here’s how you can get involved:
Home Brews for Rescues: South Africa’s home brewers, we need you! Pledge a batch of your amazing beer to help raise funds for the animals. Bonus points if you can pour it on the day – if not, we’ll make a plan!
Media Buddies: Help us spread the word! Whether you’re an influencer, a radio station, a signage company, or can assist with printing flyers, we’d love your support.
Good Cause Guardians: Adopt one of our nominated charities and help them raise funds with fun activities like face painting, mechanical bull rides, or photo booths. It’s a win-win for branding and giving back!
The Backbone Crew: Your services or equipment can make a huge impact. From marquees and barrier fencing to toilets and cleaners, every contribution helps save costs for the charities.
Raffle Partners: Donate prizes for our raffles and competitions, including best beers, best stands, and even our doggie contest.
