The 3rd edition of the Kloof event was again held at the Kloof & Highway SPCA on a beautiful winter day on 30 June where loads of fun was had by all ages of the 2 and 4 legged crowd.
Murray Straker, Dave Harrison and Rob Watson took first, second and third places respectively in the homebrew awards. Excellent entertainment was sponsored throughout the day by some of Durban’s most talented musicians – The Lion & The Bear, Andrew Makins, Tanner Wareham, The Name On The Drum, The Bean Fiddlars, Roarke Angelbright, The Rocking Doctor and Ocean Revival. A variety of KZN breweries donated beer for a raffle that was drawn on the day and Robin Gray Dyer was the lucky winner.
The organiser and the Kloof & Highway SPCA would like to thank the members of the Durban Homebrewers who again donated all the money raised by the beer sales on the day. For the first year the event was held without a sponsor but there was enormous support from a variety of local businesses which helped make the festival possible.
