Our community cares for cats! Mitchell Park Paws focuses on the care of a colony of feral cats living in and around Mitchell Park in Morningside, Durban. With the help of dedicated volunteers and the guidance of organisations in the area, we facilitate the sterilisation, medical care and daily feeding of these 30+ cats. To maximise our effectiveness for the cats we’ve pledged to care for, Mitchell Park Paws attempts to keep our focus on cats in our specific area. When we receive word of a cat in need in another area, we’re able to facilitate connections with the dedicated organisations whose own focus areas can meet these urgent needs – ensuring that the best possible care is provided as quickly as possible.
