On Saturday 3 February 12 commercial breweries & distilleries, 20 home brewers, 6 bands and volunteers pulled together to support Project Dog and Feeding the Furballs animal shelters for the Tops Ales for Tails charity event at the Wavepark in Gateway. Money was raised by selling event & raffle tickets, beer & gin and from food sales. Despite the unfortunate weather, approximately 300 animal and beer lovers supported the event to drink for a good cause and R48,937.10 was raised.
The day kicked off with entertainment supplied by I am Roarke and was followed by Cameron David & James Chandler, A-Frame, The Lion & The Bear, Stone Palace, No Fly Zone and Templar Funk.
The event was proudly sponsored by Tops Mount Edgecombe, Tops Glenore, Tops Umhlanga Rocks, Tops Gateway, Tops Riverside, Tops Ridge and Tops Eastmans.
